It was amazing to find out the HUGE gap in life expecancy of women in the world. It was very clear that women that lived in Asia, Europe and North America for example had a much longer life span then women in the Middle East or Africa. I can only imagine all the hardships that create drastic numbers like these such as disease, famine and just the overall work it takes to survive in some of these countries.
Tamara, I too tought this drastic difference was quite shocking. As you mentioned, the hardships that create this huge difference are hard to imagine. We are pretty lucky to have our average expectancy to be what it is.
ReplyDeleteAter reading the book about the life expectancy throughout the world, it is shocking that many countries do not have a very long life expectacy. The factors that affect these countries are not as widespread here.
